Stacey Atkins Biography
Stacey is a certified Spiritual Director, spiritual counselor, and coach serving the spiritually independent via Zoom. She is a graduate of the Zeitgeist Atlanta Spiritual Directors Training Program, located in Atlanta, Georgia. Currently, she serves on the Board of Zeitgeist as Secretary and as Coordinator of Abundant Health for the Mountain Sky Conference of the United Methodist Church. She is also a certified yoga teacher, a Reiki Master/Teacher, a Shamanic Practitioner and a Sound Healer, as well as a Deaconess in the United Methodist Church.
Earning her Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas in 1986, she went on to graduate from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas with a master’s degree in theological studies in 2012. In 2016 she completed the two-year Academy for Spiritual Formation with Upper Room Ministries. On August 1, 2020, she retired from a 34-year career as a flight attendant with Delta Air Lines.
Her husband, J.R., is a pastor at Aspen Community Church a United Methodist Church. He has a son, Coleman, who runs his own business in the Denver area. Stacey and J.R. live in Snowmass Village with their cat and dog.
